Pasta carbonara with our new dried sausage & bacon!
We bring the best of both worlds together with this delicious pasta recipe. A typical Italian pasta with a touch of France with the dried saucisson with Lardons. Lardons are smoked bacon. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Just enjoy!
For this recipe you need;
400 grams of spaghetti
125 ml fresh cream
2 medium eggs
75 g parmesan cheese
4 sprigs fresh parsley
150 grams of bacon bits
2 cloves of garlic
1 dried sausage with Lardons Monsieur Saucisson
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Meanwhile, put the cream in a bowl, break the eggs above it and beat with a fork. Grate the cheese over the top and mix in. Finely chop the parsley.
Heat a frying pan without oil or butter over medium heat and fry the bacon strips for 5 minutes. In the meantime, finely chop the garlic and fry for the last 30 sec. along with the bacon. Remove the bacon from the pan and leave to drain on kitchen paper.
Add the cream mixture while stirring. Keep stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened slightly. If necessary, add some cooking water to make the pasta smoother. Quickly scoop the spaghetti carbonara into a bowl so that the residual heat from the pan does not further coagulate the egg in the sauce.
Cut the dried saucisson with Lardons into small pieces and mix through the pasta. Sprinkle with the parsley and (freshly ground) black pepper and enjoy!
