Description
Spanish paté with porcini mushrooms is a delicious paté made from whole porcini mushrooms and extra virgin olive oil. Porcini mushrooms are commonly known as cep in the Netherlands. This paté is an excellent starter, ideal as a spread on a slice of bread, and also goes very well with drinks on toast; a very versatile product!
Paté composition
The classic method for making pâté is to grind the liver and mix it with other ingredients, including fat or bacon, and then cook it in an oven at a low temperature au bain-marie. The released fat then lies as a sealing layer on top of the pâté.
When do we eat this paté?
This Spanish pâté with ceps is suitable for any time of the day. In the morning or afternoon on a slice of bread, or in the evening with a drink on a cracker, toast or piece of bread. Pâté is very nice to combine with a light, rustic red wine, or a somewhat sweeter white wine. This way the drink/food combination comes into its own.
Allergens
All Monsieur Saucisson saucissons contain no gluten. With one exception: the fried onion sausage. The sausages are not lactose free. In addition, all sausages may contain traces of nuts.
How long and how do I store the pâté?
This product can be kept for more than 1 year and does not need to be refrigerated.
