Our Spanish wild boar and mushroom pâté is creamy and intense in flavour, expertly blended with extra virgin olive oil. It tastes delicious on a thin toast served with sultanas or a few dried tomatoes.
The classic method for making pâté is to grind the liver and mix it with other ingredients, including at least fat or bacon, then cook it au bain-marie in an oven at a low temperature. The released fat then lies as a sealing layer on top of the pâté.
When do we eat this paté?
This Spanish paté of wild boar and mushrooms is suitable for any time of the day. In the morning or afternoon on a slice of bread, or in the evening with a drink on a cracker, toast or piece of bread. Pâté is very nice to combine with a light, rustic red wine, or a somewhat sweeter white wine. This way the drink/food combination comes into its own.
All Monsieur Saucisson saucissons contain no gluten. With one exception: the fried onion sausage. The sausages are not lactose free. In addition, all sausages may contain traces of nuts.
How long and how do I keep the paté?
This product can be kept for more than 1 year and does not need to be refrigerated.
We only want the best quality products for our customers. That’s why Monsieur Saucisson chooses its products very carefully. Take, for example, the dried saucissons of which we have 35(!) different varieties, or the Spanish fuet. The Spanish pâtés, too, have all been carefully selected and compiled for you. Would you like to feel or even taste the atmosphere of Monsieur Saucisson? Then come to one of our shops in the Market Hall of Rotterdam or The Mall Of The Netherlands. Here you can taste sausages before you buy them, so you can be sure that you will like them. Besides our pate’s, sliced meats, dried sausages and Spanish fuet’s, we also have drinks boxes. This is a very nice gift for a friend, but also to spoil yourself with!
